Versatile Connectivity for Any Production

Designed for complex setups, the AVMATRIX SHARK S8X features a flexible input array that includes 6x 3G-SDI inputs and 2x Hybrid HDMI/SDI inputs. This allows you to mix professional broadcast cameras with consumer HDMI devices like laptops or mirrorless cameras seamlessly.

Unlike standard switchers, the S8X also includes a dedicated internal AUX input for media playback. With 4x SDI and 2x HDMI configurable Program (PGM) outputs, you have total control over where your video feed goes—whether to a projector, a secondary monitor, or a satellite truck.

Built-In Streaming and Recording

Eliminate the need for external capture cards or heavy PC encoders. The AVMATRIX SHARK S8X features a built-in hardware encoder that supports RTMP(S), RTSP, and SRT protocols. You can stream directly to platforms like YouTube, Facebook Live, and Twitch via the Ethernet port.

Simultaneously, the device ensures your footage is safe. You can record your Program feed directly to:

• USB Flash Drives

• SD Cards

• 2.5-inch SATA SSDs/HDDs

This dual functionality means you can leave the event with a broadcast-quality master file in hand, ready for post-production.

Advanced PTZ Control and Audio Mixing

The AVMATRIX SHARK S8X puts total control at your fingertips. The integrated physical joystick allows you to control up to 8 PTZ cameras using Visca and Pelco protocols. You can adjust pan, tilt, zoom, and focus without needing a separate controller.

Audio is handled with equal precision. The switcher includes 2x XLR/TRS balanced inputs with 48V phantom power, plus a 3.5mm stereo input. You can mix these external sources with the embedded audio from your SDI/HDMI inputs using the built-in audio mixer.
